CERC fixes transmission charges for Powergids Nirul and Balipara substations

The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) has approved transmission tariffs for Power Grid Corporation of India Limited’s (Powergrid) transmission assets under the “Provision of Spare Transformers and Reactor in the North-Eastern Region” scheme. 

The approved and claimed annual transmission charges are summarised in the table below:

The annual fixed charges allowed in the order will be applicable from the transmission system’s date of commercial operation. Besides, the commission has sought additional information from Powergrid such as date of commercial operation certificates of instant assets and regional load despatch centre certificates for charging of instant assets.
