CERC fixes transmission charges for assets associated with projects in the western region

The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) has approved the transmission tariff for Power Grid Corporation of India Limited’s (Powergrid) transmission assets covered under the scheme for transmission system strengthening associated with independent power producers’ generation projects in Chhattisgarh in the western region.

The approved and claimed annual transmission charges are summarised in the table below:

The charges allowed in the order will be applicable from the date of commercial operation of transmission assets. Further, the CERC has directed Powergrid to submit additional information such as trial operation certificate and details of time overrun.
