CERC approves tariffs for PPCLs 1,371 MW Pragati-III TPP for 2009-14

The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) has approved generation tariffs for the 1,371 MW Pragati-III combined cycle gas-based thermal power plant (TPP) for the period from the date of commercial operation of Block-I & II up to March 31, 2014. The order was in response to petition filed by Pragati Power Corporation Limited (PPCL) in September 2010 under the provisions of the CERC (Terms and Conditions of Tariff) Regulations, 2009.

 

The plant consists of two bocks. Block-I comprises gas turbine (GT)-I, GT-II and steam turbine (ST)-I commissioned respectively on December 27, 2011, July 16, 2012, and December 14, 2012. Block-II of the plant comprises GT-III, GT-IV and ST-II commissioned on October 29, 2013, February 27, 2014 and March 27, 2014 respectively.
