Uttrakhand is setting up the first Geothermal Power Plant.

Uttrakhand in its pioneering effort is setting up the first Geothermal Power Plant. The National Geographical Research Institute, Hyderabad & NTPC has already entered into a MoU under which the Geo Thermal Power plant would be set up in Uttrakhand. CESC Ltd. emerged as lowest bidder for power distribution franchisee in Patna.

CESC Limited has emerged as the lowest bidder for securing the power distribution franchisee in Patna. In October 2009, Mumbai-based Glodyne Power submitted the lowest financial bid to Bihar State Electricity Board for the Patna circle, while CESC submitted the second-lowest bids.
